Cost-per-hire varies by how employers calculate budget

When it comes to cost-per-hire, the average amount is dependent on the way employers calculate their budgets. Among employers responding to NACE’s 2018 Recruiting Benchmarks Survey that included personnel costs in their recruiting budget, the average cost-per-hire was $6,110. In comparison, the average cost-per-hire was $1,533 for employees that did not include personnel costs in their budget.
